Harmony of Grace

Why did I decide to start this blog? Why call it Harmony of Grace?

One definition for the word harmony is "living in peace and mutual understanding with others."

I have always been fascinated with music and in my opinion, the musical definition of the word harmony has a more accurate depiction of the word's true meaning.

In musical terms, a harmony is "a note or group of notes that compliment the notes in the melody (main tune of the song)."

There are many different possible harmonies, but if played/sung correctly, they all compliment the melody and emphasize the beauty of the musical arrangement as a whole.

When I had my first encounter with Jesus, the concept of harmony became much more real in my life.

But how does harmony have anything to do with God's grace?

I believe that God's grace can be seen in the world we live in, through various means, as a complimentary harmony to God's nature and story for us. We might all hear/play different harmonies, but all of them point to God's amazing glory and ultimate love for us.

This is the main reason that I have begun my own blog and why I have titled it 'harmony of grace.' God's grace is all around us. Just as there are many different harmonies that compliment a song's melody, so also there are many different ways that we are able to experience the harmonies of God's grace in the world we live in.

For me, I experience these harmonies of grace in nature, music, running and more. For you, it might be different.

God's grace is all around us. My prayer is that through sharing my experiences of God's grace in my life, you too might come to experience similar 'harmonies of grace' in your own life.

"The heavens declare the Glory of God; The skies proclaim the work of God's hands."
- Psalm 19:1 (NIV)

  1. This is very cool dude. Just read it, makes me want to experience that harmony. A lot of people come with "babbling words" and "arguments" to persuade people to love Jesus. In this first post - I see you just writing a beautiful piece... and people are invited in... :)
